Peel Police Services Board Provides Update on Chief of Police Search

BRAMPTON - The Peel Police Services Board has launched its process to find a new full-time Chief of Police to lead the organization.

The Board previously approved a plan that includes a competitive procurement process to retain an executive search firm to conduct a Canada-wide search. The Board has contracted the services of Odgers Berndtson, who will coordinate the community and stakeholder consultation process, which includes consultations with the Peel Regional Police Association and the Senior Officers Association.

Community consultations will also include a public survey, which launched on Monday April 15, 2019 and will be live for 3 weeks. The public survey will be managed by Odgers Berndtson, and a link to the survey can be found on the Peel Police Services Board website (peelpoliceboard.ca), or at:

https://survey.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_d05E7EChiC6doG1

The information collected will be used by Odgers Berndtson to draft a job description that will be made public later this spring.

Further information will be made public throughout the process.
