Lauren Jackson Appointed as New Chief Administrative Officer for Peel Regional Police

Brampton, ON – The Peel Police Services Board has selected Lauren Jackson as the new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to join Chief Nishan Duraiappah's executive team. Lauren’s appointment followed the Board’s extensive national search process facilitated by executive search firm Odgers Berndtson.

As CAO, Lauren will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for the general business, administration, and support functions across Peel Regional Police, ensuring that the Service meets Police Services Board requirements and policies while being properly supported administratively. Her appointment is seen as a critical step in Peel Regional Police's ongoing efforts to enhance community safety and well-being.

Lauren brings 14 years of experience providing guidance, direction, and leadership of purpose-driven, complex operational and administrative change initiatives across the public and private sector. She joins Peel Regional Police from Deloitte, where she was a Partner and served as the National Security & Justice Leader. Her experience in working with policing, fire, paramedic, justice, and security agencies at all three levels of government, within Canada and the United States, will strongly benefit Peel Regional Police and the community.

Lauren is a Board Member of the Global Law Enforcement & Public Health Association and an active mentor in Deloitte's LGBTQIA+ mentorship network. She previously served as a member of the Alumni board of an academic institution, as well as has held volunteer roles with healthcare and social service/child support agencies.

With Lauren's appointment, the Board and police service is expected to benefit from her leadership and expertise, ensuring that Peel Regional Police continues to provide quality policing services to the community.
