Kolb Hits Another Milestone
(BRAMPTON) – On January 24, 2014, the members of the Regional Municipality of Peel Police Services Board elected Emil Kolb, Regional Chairman, as Chair of the Police Services Board for a record 18th year. It extends Mr. Kolb's tenure as the longest serving police board Chair in Canada. The Board elected Councillor Frank Dale as Vice-Chair for the coming year.
"It's a great honour and privilege for me to continue to serve as Chair," says Mr. Kolb. "I'm very fortunate to have a hard-working and dedicated group as Board members and we're all focused, along with our Chief, in delivering the best possible police service we can for the entire Peel community."
Councillor Dale says: "I'm very appreciative of my colleagues' support. Maintaining a united team, including the police executive, will allow us to meet the challenges ahead."
Mr. Kolb acknowledged the work of Mayor Susan Fennell, who had served as Vice-Chair for approximately two and a half years.
"Mayor Fennell was a great contributor as Vice-Chair, bringing a measured and balanced perspective to our discussions" says Mr. Kolb. "She remains a valued member of the Board."
