Kolb and Corbasson Acclaimed
(BRAMPTON) – Emil Kolb, Chairman of the Region of Peel, made it ten years in a row when he was re-elected Chair of the Regional Municipality of Peel Police Services Board at its first meeting of the year held on January 28, 2005. At the same meeting, Councillor Carmen Corbasson was elected to the position of Vice-Chair, succeeding her Council colleague, Councillor Gael Miles.
“I greatly appreciate the ongoing support from the Board, our Chief and his entire team,” says Mr. Kolb. “I am proud to be a part of this great organization, and I look forward to achieving our common and ongoing goals of enhanced security and safety for everyone in the Region.”
Mr. Kolb says, “I want to thank Councillor Miles for her contribution as Vice-Chair and the many times she helped me work through some difficult issues. I also welcome Councillor Corbasson to her new position. She has been a leader in many ways on the police services board, and her thoughtfulness and experience will benefit the entire organization.”
“I want to acknowledge and thank my colleagues for their confidence in me,” says Councillor Corbasson. “From my first day on the Board, I knew this was a special group, and a great police service, and it’s a pleasure to have the chance to serve in this new role.”
The Regional Municipality of Peel Police Services Board is comprised of seven members, three appointed from Regional Council, one private citizen appointed by Regional Council, and three provincial appointees.
