Deputy Chief Announces Retirement
(BRAMPTON) – Deputy Chief Frank Roselli, a 34 year veteran of the Peel Regional Police, has announced he is retiring, says Emil Kolb, Chair, Regional Municipality of Peel Police Services Board. Deputy Chief Roselli's retirement is to take effect on October 6, 2014.
"It's been a real pleasure working with Frank as Deputy Chief," says Mr. Kolb. "He is a true professional in every sense of the word."
Chief Jennifer Evans, Peel Regional Police, concurs. "During the past year, we introduced the phrase 'Proud to be Peel'. Deputy Chief Roselli exemplifies the qualities that we value and foster in our police service."
Deputy Chief Roselli says he has a profound appreciation and admiration for the members of the police service. "There is no question in my mind that our success is because of the dedication and commitment of the members of the Peel Regional Police. This is a great organization and it's been an honour to work with so many truly outstanding individuals."
Mr. Kolb says the Board recently initiated a process to select a new Deputy Chief of Police because of the announced retirement of Deputy Chief Dan McDonald. He says the Board will now seek two Deputy Chiefs of Police. Mr. Kolb expects the process to conclude by the end of September, thus ensuring an orderly transition.
The Peel Regional Police is the second largest municipal police service in Ontario, providing police services to the cities of Brampton and Mississauga and, under contract, to Pearson International Airport. It is led by Chief J. Evans, recently elected President of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, supported by an Executive team comprised of three Deputy Chiefs of Police and an Associate Administrator.
