Commission on Accreditation Recognizes and Rewards the Peel Regional Police

On Friday, January 31, 2003, the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) will be presenting the Peel Regional Police with an accreditation certificate.
CALEA is a world renowned governance body and progressive organization that requires police organizations interested in pursuing and gaining accreditation status as a viable member to continuously reflect standards of the highest level of integrity, service and accountability. The Peel Regional Police were initially awarded CALEA accreditation status in 1994, and have met the stringent re-endorsement challenge and achieved success.
The media is invited to the ceremony, which will take place during the Peel Regional Police Services Board meeting.
