Chief Presents "Badges of Honour" Limited Edition Print to the Board

Chief Noel Catney recently presented the Peel Police Services Board with a limited edition print entitled "Badges of Honour". The print depicts a uniform locker setting with the forces' five amalgamation wallet badges shadow-painted into the picture. The print was commissioned as a fund raiser by a member of the Peel Regional Police, and a portion of the proceeds are being donated to Victim Services of Peel and Peel Crime Stoppers.

The artist, Ellen Cowie, was present at the December 13, 2002 meeting of the Regional Municipality of Peel Police Services Board to provide the Board with an opportunity to view the original oil painting, and to explain how the idea for the painting came about. The "Badge of Honour" print will be hung in the offices of the Peel Police Services Board.
