Who We Are
The Regional Municipality of Peel Police Services Board is responsible for the provision of police services in the Region of Peel. In consultation with the Chief of Police, it establishes the general policing priorities for the Regional Municipality of Peel.
The Board is the civilian body governing the Peel Regional Police. In that role, the Board is responsible for the police budget, oversees the actions of the Chief of Police, and is the employer for the members of the police service.
The authority of the Board is established by Section 31 of the Police Services Act. The Board is comprised of seven members:

All members serve on a part-time basis. The current Chair is Mr. Laurie Williamson.
The Board currently has three full-time employees, Mr. Frederick Biro, Executive Director, Ms. Lea Steenhoek, Board Manager and Ms. Lorena Perkins, Manager, Policy Development and Special Projects.
